Gilwell Funday – Beavers + Cubs

A great Funday out at the home of UK Scouting. Loads of activities and the coach there and back all for only £30.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR GILWELL FUN DAY 2013 TRIP
Saturday 22nd June

During Scouting activities it is usual to have a ‘Home Contact’ who we will use if we have any issues. Home Contact For The Day: Andy Holter (Chil) 07792 201206 or 01242 697363 Children & leaders must wear their uniforms – especially their neckers. There are 5,000 children going to Gilwell during the weekend. Our necker will help both the adults & children keep an eye out for each other. Please meet at Woodmancote New Village Hall at: 06:45 The bus will be on Station Rd. The bus is due to return to Woodmancote at 20:00 (8pm) of course this will depend on traffic. If there are any problems we will post a message on the 1WSG website so please make sure you still have access to it. Medication. It should be in a NAMED bag, in original containers with clear instructions written on the bag. ***Please remember to take any travel sickness medication before leaving home***
If any information changes please email me before the day. We have 42 children going on the trip & it is easy to forget verbal information given on the day.
Please bring the following:- A small ruck sack.
- Sun cream - we will remind the children to use it at lunch time.
- Sun hat.
- Waterproof jacket - it’s summer time!
- Enough drink to last the day.
- Lunch.
- Tea-time snack (Please pack these separately otherwise both will get eaten at lunch time!)
- Wear sensible foot wear. The children will be have the chance to take part in a number of activities which if they are wearing inappropriate shoes they will not be allowed to take part. NO Crocs or flip-flops
- Any medication - please see above.
- Spending money. There will be a gift shop selling badges, woggles, etc. No more than £5.
- Electronic games, iPods, DS, MP3 players, mobile phones, radios, cameras.
- NUTS or any food containing nuts. We have children with serious allergies.
